Today’s article is about a guy who grew up on a farm in rural New England. He’s name is Jeff Luker and he really, really likes to travel. He studied filmmaking but then began traveling the USA in hope to conjure the spirits of Eggleston, Frank and Sternfeld. Jeff has spent time in New York City where he worked in the photo and fashion industry. Then he took another trip though and ended up in Portland, Oregon. Where Jeff lives currently, although he has the travel bug, so he never stays anywhere too long. I said he likes to travel.

Lost Names is a series of photographs that are about loneliness, heartbreak and quiet moments. All of these photos were taken over a three year period of extensive travel throughout the United States.
I think what tears people apart are the false dichotomies that exist in life and with this series I try to illuminate at least one aspect of travel.
The sad and beautiful world that surrounds us. The ability to find wonder in places far from home and capture experience and memory through the medium of photography.

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Jeff.
Hey there, dear friends.
I hope you understand how hard is doing everything alone to keep this blog alive. I've made it because I'm passionate about art & because I wanna celebrate it with you. I'm looking for more and I wanna share more, but I'm very busy doing commercial & personal photography work. So I paused a bit with blogging here.
You still can submit your art work and enjoy all hundered and ten published articles... till I come back with new interesting stories.
Make sure you have subscribed (rss) and you are following me on Twitter. Thanks. Much love!
