How imaginative illustrations can be? February 12, 2010

And we have some illustrations here before the Valentine’s day and at the beginning of the Winter Olympic Games.

Mario Sughi is an Italian illustrator, cartoonist and historian, living and working in Dublin. At the end of the 70s he worked in Rome as humorist in Italian satirical magazines Il Male and Zut. Mario has moved to Dublin in the late eighties where he studied Medieval History. In 1995 he was awarded a PhD by Trinity College Dublin.

I believe that the work of an illustrator betrays his desire to make use of imagination to recreate the world in which we all live.

I chose a few of his illustrations. My favorites:

His unique and unusual style has changed my view of the illustrations. Really!

Thank you Mario.

COMMENTS, COMMMMENTS, I LOVE COMMENTS

Hey there, dear friends.

I hope you understand how hard is doing everything alone to keep this blog alive. I've made it because I'm passionate about art & because I wanna celebrate it with you. I'm looking for more and I wanna share more, but I'm very busy doing commercial & personal photography work. So I paused a bit with blogging here.

You still can submit your art work and enjoy all hundered and ten published articles... till I come back with new interesting stories.

Make sure you have subscribed (rss) and you are following me on Twitter. Thanks. Much love!
